faculty of Dentistry for 2020/20201academic year, 10 semester
in therapeutic stomatology
Cycle – 17 days (72 hours), 8.00 -14.00 h.
1. Examination of the patient with diseases of the oral mucosa. Pathological processes, morphological elements.
2. Injury to the oral mucosa (mechanical, chemical, physical). Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
3. Leukoplakia. Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
4. Herpes simplex. Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
5. Chronic recurrent aphthous stomatitis. Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
6. Candidоsis.Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
7. Cheilitis. Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
8. Erythema multiforme exudative. Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
9. Pemphigus. Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
10. Lichen ruber planus. Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
11. Glossitis. Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
12. Glossalgia. Stomalgia. Etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
13. Damage to the oral mucosa in diseases of the internal organs (gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular system, endocrine system). Clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
14. Damage to the oral mucosa in diseases of the internal organs (blood diseases). Clinical manifestations, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern methods of treatment and prevention.
15. Physical methods of treatment in the practice of therapeutic dentistry. Therapeutic effects of physiotherapeutic procedures. Physical methods used to diagnose dental diseases. Diathermocoagulation, electrophoresis, anod galvanization, IGNL Laser, UHF therapy, fluorization. Indications, methodology, course of treatment. Indications and contraindications for physiotherapy.
16. Precancers and cancer of the oral mucosa and the red border of the lips. Classification of precancerous diseases. Clinic, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, modern treatment methods. Clinical signs of malignancy. Oncological alertness, dentist tactics.
17. The final lesson. Individual control of knowledge and practical skills. Clinical decision of situational problems. Testing. Writing recipes. Reading radiographs of teeth and jaws at different ages in health and periodontal diseases.
PRACTICAL CLASSES - 136 hours.
